A sprite sheet places separate frames in one bitmap so websites and game engines can look up each frame using coordinates. Leave a little transparent padding to reduce edge bleeding during scaled rendering. Pick a frame size suited to the intended game resolution.
- Upload PNG or other supported image frames in display order.
- Choose column count, frame dimensions and cell padding.
- Generate your sprite atlas, inspect coordinates, then download PNG, CSS and JSON.
Accuracy, privacy and limitations
Images are scaled to a uniform frame cell. This version uses a deterministic grid layout rather than advanced irregular rectangle packing. Large atlases are limited by browser canvas size.
Practical advice for a cleaner result
Always keep a copy of your source files. Compare the new image at 100% zoom, test it in the application where it will be used, and make one change at a time when a result looks unexpected. Browser memory limits depend on device and image dimensions.
