How to replace color in image

Pixel colors are rarely uniform in photographs because light, shadows and JPEG compression change values around a selected area. A tolerance slider captures near shades; softness blends those areas to avoid hard borders. Recoloring artwork is usually easier than recoloring complex shadows in portraits.

  1. Upload an image and tap the target shade on the preview.
  2. Set replacement color, tolerance, softness and preserve-luminance mode.
  3. Compare original and result, then export PNG or WebP.

Accuracy, privacy and limitations

This is deterministic color-based replacement, not AI object segmentation. Similar colors in unrelated parts of the picture may also change.

Practical advice for a cleaner result

Always keep a copy of your source files. Compare the new image at 100% zoom, test it in the application where it will be used, and make one change at a time when a result looks unexpected. Browser memory limits depend on device and image dimensions.
